EduMice Community Standards

EduMice is an educational and professional networking platform designed for students, educators, institutions, alumni, and professionals. Our goal is to create a safe environment for learning, collaboration, career growth, and authentic reviews.

By using EduMice, you agree to follow these Community Standards.

1. Be Respectful

Treat everyone with respect.

You must not:

  • Harass or bully other users
  • Use abusive, threatening, or insulting language
  • Target someone because of their race, religion, caste, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability, age, or sexual orientation
  • Encourage others to attack or shame someone

Healthy debate is encouraged. Personal attacks are not.

2. Maintain Academic Integrity

EduMice supports learning—not cheating.

Do not:

  • Share leaked examination papers
  • Sell assignments or projects
  • Submit someone else's work as your own
  • Offer or request cheating services
  • Encourage academic misconduct

Sharing study notes, tutorials, and educational resources is encouraged.

3. Authentic Identity

Build trust by being genuine.

Users must not:

  • Impersonate another student, teacher, or institution
  • Create fake profiles
  • Misrepresent educational qualifications
  • Pretend to represent an institution without authorization

Organizations may only create official accounts if authorized.

4. Honest Reviews

Reviews help others make informed decisions.

Reviews must:

  • Be based on genuine personal experiences
  • Be truthful
  • Avoid false accusations
  • Avoid personal attacks
  • Avoid sharing confidential information

EduMice may remove reviews that appear fraudulent, manipulated, or intentionally misleading.

5. No Spam or Manipulation

Do not:

  • Post repetitive content
  • Mass tag users
  • Artificially increase likes or reviews
  • Use bots to create engagement
  • Post misleading advertisements
  • Promote scams

Commercial promotion is only allowed where specifically permitted.

6. Protect Privacy

Respect personal information.

Do not publish:

  • Phone numbers
  • Home addresses
  • Government ID numbers
  • Academic records
  • Medical information
  • Personal email addresses
  • Private conversations without permission

7. Keep Content Relevant

EduMice exists for:

  • Education and Career development
  • Professional networking
  • Research and Skill development
  • Campus activities and Student communities

Irrelevant or low-quality content may be removed.

8. Intellectual Property

Only share content you have permission to use.

Do not:

  • Upload copyrighted books
  • Share pirated material
  • Copy someone else's work without permission
  • Violate trademarks

9. Illegal and Harmful Content (Child Protection & CSAE Prohibition)

EduMice maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against illegal and harmful content.

You must never post, share, or request content that:

  • Involves Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) or Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
  • Grooms, exploits, or endangers minors in any manner
  • Promotes violence or terrorism
  • Facilitates illegal activities or drug trafficking
  • Encourages self-harm or suicide

Any violation involving child safety or CSAE will result in immediate permanent account termination, IP/device bans, and reporting to NCMEC and law enforcement. See our detailed Child Safety Standards.

10. AI-Generated Content

AI tools are welcome when used responsibly.

Users should not:

  • Generate fake reviews
  • Impersonate individuals using AI
  • Spread misinformation using AI
  • Submit AI-generated academic work as original without disclosure where required

11. Reporting Violations

Users can report: Posts, Comments, Reviews, Messages, Profiles, and Institutions.

Reports are confidential. The reported user will not know who submitted the report.

12. How Reports Are Reviewed

Every report is reviewed by EduMice.

Possible outcomes include:

  • No violation found
  • Warning issued
  • Content removal
  • Temporary feature restriction or account suspension
  • Permanent account removal

Repeated violations may result in stronger enforcement.

13. Appeals

If you believe your content was removed incorrectly, you may submit an appeal. Our moderation team will review the decision.
