We collect information directly from you when you register, use the platform, and interact with others. This includes:

• Account & Profile Data: Name, email address, password, phone number, profile pictures, and bios voluntarily provided during registration or profile edits.
• Educational & Professional Affiliation: Information about your academic background, current school, graduation year, user role (Student, Teacher, Alumni), and professional details.
• User-Generated Content: Public reviews, group posts, circles discussions, comments, event bookings, messages, and uploaded attachments.
• Technical & Usage Data: Automatically collected information including IP addresses, device identifiers, operating system version, browser type, and navigation logs to ensure app performance and security.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your information for the following business and user-experience purposes:

• Creating, managing, and authenticating your account securely.
• Facilitating connections and peer-to-peer networking among students, teachers, and alumni.
• Delivering targeted communications, notifications, and event updates.
• Analyzing usage statistics and system health to optimize app features.
• Moderating content, preventing fraud, and enforcing our community standards.

3. Data Security & Encryption

We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal data. All data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard **SSL/TLS protocols (HTTPS)** to protect it from unauthorized interception. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. How We Share Your Information

We only share your information in the following specific circumstances:

• With Other Users: Information on your profile, reviews, and posts will be visible to other members of the platform depending on your sharing settings.
• With School Administrators: If you connect your account to a school or verified institution, school administrators may be able to view details related to your academic role and institutional posts.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users and the public.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party advertisers.

5. Children’s Privacy & Child Safety Standards

We respect the privacy and safety of minors. Certain features of our platform (such as student accounts) require verifiable parental or guardian consent if the user is under the age of majority. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 without appropriate parental or guardian authorization. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verification, we will delete that information immediately.

6. Account and Data Deletion (Google Play Compliance)

You have the right to request deletion of your account and any associated personal data at any time. When you delete your account, we delete your profile information, files, reviews, and private posts.

You can request deletion in two ways:

• In-App Deletion: Navigate to your profile settings screen within the EduMice mobile app and click "Delete Account". This will process your request instantly.
• Online Deletion Request: If you cannot access the app, you can submit a deletion request by emailing us at `delete@edumice.com` or contacting our support team. We will verify your identity and process your request within 7 business days.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (such as under GDPR or CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, restrict, or download your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact our support team or manage your settings directly in the app.
